Pinnacle Drinks approached us to create a new label for their wine ‘Marking Time’. They felt that what they had was a bit lazy and dated, and with such an emotive name more could be done to breathe some life into it.
We were tasked with delivering a premium, stand-out packaging design utilising only the Marking Time name – the rest of the design solution was to be revolutionary rather than evolutionary.
Considering the words ‘Marking Time’, we thought of two things – a celebratory occasion, and the specific recording of time. Putting these together, as well as the underlying notion of the wine life cycle itself a marking of time, we came up with a premium approach to the design that also has an built-in hourglass adapted from the shape of a wine glass.
